Liverpool star Andy Robertson has admitted he ‘always dreamed’ of playing for Celtic at his peak, but hopes to retire at Anfield.

“Every time I watch Celtic, I consider it.

I don’t look too far ahead, and I don’t often look back.

The Scotland captain has managed to get his hands on the Premier League and Champions League, among other major honours.

“When I was at Queen’s Park, I had a dream of still playing with Celtic and always dreamed of giving my best years to Celtic.

The 28-year-old is a boyhood Hoops fan and played for the Scottish champions, before moving to Queens Park, which then saw his career take off.

When you watch them and see a packed Celtic Park, as a fan you always have that dream,” he told the Currie Club podcast.
