Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota were both absent from training on Friday as Liverpool continued their preparations ahead of Monday’s clash with Aston Villa.
The Portuguese has been absent since suffering an injury in the Reds’ 3-1 victory away at Fulham last month.
Again missing from training, he looks set to miss the trip to Villa Park, and perhaps faces a race against time to be fit for Jurgen Klopp’s final match as Liverpool manager against Wolves next weekend.
Meanwhile, Robertson was not spotted in the latest training pictures at the AXA Training Centre.
However, the Scot was seen in training wear at the club’s base on Friday morning, conducting media duties, along with Trent Alexander-Arnold, as the ECHO attended Klopp’s pre-match press conference.

With the German not offering an injury update at Friday’s press conference, the reason for Robertson’s absence is unclear.
The pair weren’t the only players missing with Thiago Alcantara, Joel Matip and Ben Doak also absent following long-term injury.
Elsewhere, Darwin Nunez was all smiles following a week where he has made headlines off the pitch.
After missing a glaring chance in last weekend’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur, the striker deleted all but one of his Reds-related pictures on Instagram.
He also blocked some fan accounts on Twitter and has since limited who can comment on his posts on Instagram, with it being believed his actions are in response to online abuse.
Klopp would defend the striker when speaking to the press on Friday though, dismissing speculation about his future.
