Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has delivered his verdict of Hugo Ekitike's red card after the French forward was sent off in the Carabao Cup third round win over Championship side Aston Villa.
The 23-year-old had only come onto the pitch at half-time, replacing Reds' goalscorer Alexander Isak at the half-time interval.
The Swedish striker had given Arne Slot's side a first-half lead before being substituted at the break.
Shea Charles would equalise for Will Still's side in the 76th minute to tee up a nervy finish, but Ekitike wrapped up the three points with a late goal in the 85th minute.

However, just seconds later he was shown a second yellow card for the celebration, having already been booked for kicking the ball away.
Robertson says the new signing 'won't do it again' before taking aim at the French striker for picking up a needless suspension that will keep him out of this weekend's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
Sky will show at least 215 live Premier League games this season, an increase of up to 100 more.
"I'd be very surprised if he does it again," Robertson told Sky Sports.
"I think scoring a goal is always emotional and you always get that emotion, but he's obviously just forgot he's been booked.
"His first one is stupidity, kicking the ball away, we know the rules around that.
"Two silly bookings to pick up and now we miss him for Saturday, so it's silly from his part but he's only young and he will learn from it.
"Happy that he scored but the last ten minutes were made a bit more difficult being down to ten men.
"He will learn from it and I am sure he won't do it again."
