Andy Robertson has received an injury boost after news that his ankle knock picked up on Scotland duty is NOT serious.

The Liverpool star was forced off late in the first half of the friendly defeat to Northern Ireland defeat at Hampden on Tuesday.

Jurgen Klopp faced an anxious wait and there were even initial fears for Steve Clarke when he limped off with Euro 2024 just three months away.

But according to multiple reports, the 30-year old has avoided a long spell out on the sidelines but is still a major doubt for Liverpool's clash with Brighton on Sunday.

The left back only returned to action in January after nearly four months out with a dislocated shoulder that he sustained in Scotland's 2-0 loss to Spain in qualifying for the Euros last September.

The Anfield giants will reportedly monitor the defender's situation before deciding when Robertson can step back onto the pitch.
