Andy Robertson and his potential injury received after Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with Westh was a point of concern post-match.

The Scotsman was among the few Liverpool players who truly wore his heart on his sleeve at the Olympic Stadium on the weekend.

The 30-year-old was all-action and was responsible for the effort that cancelled out Jarrod Bowen’s opener after just after the interval.

However, after the game, Andy Robertson limped his way back to Merseyside as per various reports.

The Scottish international has already missed plenty of the season owing to a dislocated shoulder picked up on international duty in September.

Furthermore, there were some concerns that he would now be in doubt to lead his nation in the upcoming European Championships in Germany in the summer.

It emerged after the game that it could be a potential ankle injury, but Jurgen Klopp made no mention of it after the game on Saturday.

Positive Andy Robertson injury update

Lewis Steele has reported that the Liverpool left-back is fine, and no damage was present.

Infact, the 30-year-old did not even need scans at the AXA Training Centre after arriving back from the Olympic Stadium.

Steele writes:

“No significant damage was inflicted and it was probably more of an impact injury, with Robertson likely fit for Sunday’s match against Tottenham.”

“It comes as fellow Scotsman Scott McTominay suffered a blow playing for Manchester United on Saturday, with Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson also facing a race against time to be fit for the European Championship.”

Hopefully not too many of Andy Robertson’s compatriots are injured heading into what should be a big tournament for Robertson.

Robertson made his full international debut for Scotland in May 2014, and was appointed Scotland captain in September 2018?

He represented the side at UEFA Euro 2020.

But this time, he will be the captain, and will likely be one of his last major international tournaments as a player.
