An update has emerged on Andy Robertson's future at Liverpool amid news that an exit may be on the cards this summer.
Robertson is about to enter the final year of his contract at Anfield and has emerged as a target for Atletico Madrid in recent days.
The ECHO reported last week that the La Liga outfit have expressed an interest in signing Robertson this summer.
The 31-year-old is understood to be near the top of Atletico's shortlist of left-back targets but are yet to make a formal approach to Liverpool over a possible transfer.
Robertson was signed by Liverpool in the summer of 2017 from Hull City in a deal worth £8million.
The Scotland international has gone on to win two Premier League titles, one Champions League, several domestic cups and make 342 appearances along the way.

According to Fabrizio Romano, who has reported on X, Robertson is yet to make a decision on where he will be playing his football next season.
The report claims that the left-back will have a break before holding talks with Liverpool about what to do amid the interest from Atletico.
There is no suggestion on whether or not Robertson is leaning towards either leaving Anfield or staying beyond this summer.
Speculation around Robertson's future comes amid increased speculation that Liverpool are looking to sign Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez.

The Reds are looking to agree a deal with the Cherries for the left-back, who is thought to be valued at around £45million this summer.
If Liverpool were to sign Kerkez, it would create uncertainty around the current left-back options at the club, which includes Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.
Robertson addressed the speculation about his long-term future at Liverpool last week, before the interest from Atletico emerged.
"We’ve had good discussions, me and the club, but what the future holds, I’m not sure," Robertson told Sky Sports last week.
"I can’t look too far ahead, I never have done that, so I’m not going to start doing that now.
I know the position I’m in, I know I’ve only got a year left.
"The players that we’re linked with are all younger players and they’re all exciting players as well.
