Newcastle forward Anthony Gordon dispatched a heartfelt message to supporters with his future still under constant speculation.

Gordon endured a turbulent end to the season at St James’ Park, having lost his place in Eddie Howe’s starting XI to Harvey Barnes.

Despite showing flashes of quality throughout the campaign, he struggled to secure a consistent run on the left flank, with Barnes starting the final 11 matches of the season.

As a result, speculation over his future has intensified, with Football Insider reporting that Gordon is keen on a move to Liverpool amid renewed interest from the Merseyside club this summer.

Gordon was close to joining Liverpool last year, but the Reds opted against a deal at the time.

However, that interest has reportedly resurfaced—particularly with Luis Diaz leaving to join Bayern Munich.

While uncertainty lingers around his next steps, the winger sent a message to the supporters to show his current focus.

Despite ongoing speculation surrounding his future, Gordon has remained involved in Newcastle pre-season tour.

Following the club’s final match in Hong Kong, the winger shared a heartfelt message with supporters via his Instagram story, writing: “South Korea.

Thank you so much for your hospitality and support.”

While he has featured regularly throughout pre-season, questions remain over his long-term future at St James’ Park.

Football Insider exclusively reported on 10 July that Liverpool are plotting a move for Gordon later in the window, with their current focus being on his Newcastle teammate Alexander Isak.

Despite falling out of favour towards the end of last season, Gordon still produced a solid campaign overall, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists across 42 appearances in all competitions.

As Newcastle prepare for further outgoings, Howe is also looking to bolster his squad, particularly in central defence.

Football Insider revealed Newcastle have now turned their attention to Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke after their pursuit of Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi came to a halt.

Guehi is said to have his heart set on a move to Liverpool and would reject any renewed offer from Newcastle should it arrive this summer.

With several targets opting for other destinations, Van Hecke has now emerged as a key alternative as Howe looks to reinforce his back line before the season kicks off.
