Anthony Gordon could be an option for Liverpool if Luis Diaz is sold this summer.
The Reds nearly signed Gordon last year after agreeing a £75 million deal with Premier League rivals Newcastle United
However, the Magpies withdrew from the deal after raising the necessary funds elsewhere to comply with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).
As confirmed by the ECHO last week, Liverpool have already rejected a £58.5m bid from Bayern Munich for the Premier League-winning winger.
If Liverpool opt to sell Díaz, they’ll need a replacement and Gordon, who has long been linked with a move to Anfield, has impressed in the Premier League for several years.
Although Gordon came through the ranks at Everton, he's a lifelong Liverpool supporter and would be open to a return to Merseyside with TBR Football reporting the player is 'in the 'conversation' to replace Diaz.
Meanwhile Atalanta are expected to step up their pursuit of Liverpool winger Federico Chiesa this summer, according to Caught Offside.
Furthermore, Liverpool have not given up in their pursuit of agreeing a new contract for Ibrahima Konate amid interest from Real Madrid, as per Foot Mercato.
Konate has less than 12 months on his deal at Anfield and there is concern that he could follow Trent Alexander-Arnold to quit the Reds for Real after running down his contract.
But Arne Slot's side are looking to do everything in their power to prevent losing Konate for free, it is being reported, though It remains to be whether he will accept a new offer from the Reds or run his deal down and join a new club for free next summer.
