Liverpool have already been rather busy in the transfer market this summer with other Premier League clubs now, seemingly, looking to get their business underway.
The Reds have completed three new signings this summer with Florian Wirtz joining Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi when his deal was confirmed last week.
Arne Slot will be busy preparing the Liverpool squad for their Premier League title defence, which begins at home to Bournemouth on August 15.
Between now and then, the Reds will have a pre-season campaign that is also likely to have potential transfer business dominate the background noise.
When it comes to business at other clubs, Chronicle Live reported, on Tuesday afternoon, that Nottingham Forest have rejected a £45million bid from Newcastle United for Anthony Elanga.

While a deal is far from being agreed for the former Manchester United winger, a transfer could go on to impact Liverpool in the future.
If Newcastle were to sign Elanga, it could impact Anthony Gordon's future at St James' Park - as it was 12 months ago that the former Everton star was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool.
Gordon was the subject of interest from Liverpool last summer, having agreed a deal in principle with Newcastle worth £75million.

Had a move gone through, it would have seen Joe Gomez sign for the Magpies in a deal worth £45million as part of the overall package.
In the end, though, Gordon would not go on to sign for Liverpool after Newcastle backed out of the transfer.
The Magpies were under pressure to raise funds to help comply with the Premier League's Profit & Sustainability Rules, but sales of Elliot Anderson and Yankuba Minteh meant they no longer needed to sell Gordon to the Reds.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Gordon's future if Newcastle do go on to sign Elanga.
If a departure becomes a possibility, though, only time will tell if Liverpool will return to negotiations to bring the England international back to Merseyside.
