Antonio Conte is one of the most colourful characters in European football, with the Italian manager on course for another Serie A title win with Napoli.
The former Chelsea and Tottenham manager has been a huge success with the Partenopei, with Napoli three points clear of second-place Inter Milan with three games left after some great performances from the likes of Scott McTominay, Romelu Lukaku and Frank Anguissa.
And this summer is expected to be a big one for the potential Serie A champions, with Napoli eyeing Liverpool-linked Karim Adeyemi as Federico Chiesa also remains a target for the Italian side, with the Anfield winger potentially tempted to secure a move to the Campania-based side.
Yet it appears that Napoli and Conte are now more interested in signing another Liverpool player heading into the summer transfer window.

According to journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Darwin Nunez has emerged as an option for Napoli as the Italian giants look to sign a new striker to compete with Lukaku and Giacomo Raspadori, with Liverpool target Jonathan David also being considered.
Nunez is expected to leave Liverpool this season after yet another disappointing year leading the line for the Reds, with the Uruguay international managing just seven goals in all competitions as Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo have enjoyed career-best years with the Reds.
Although Michael Owen once noted Nunez as an ‘insane’ striker via TalkSport, most Liverpool fans would agree that it would be best if the 25-year-old attacker were to leave Merseyside this summer if an offer were to be made.

And with Napoli now in the conversation for Nunez, there is a good suitor out there who could make a compelling bid for the South American talisman, who could also be a dream match for Conte with the pending Italian giants.
Napoli are no strangers to having players with a bit of character, with Diego Maradona the club’s most famous son having led the Serie A side to their first league title in 1990s in what was a golden era for the southern Italian giants.
And Nunez joining a Napoli side managed by Conte just feels right, with the Uruguay international an attacker who could thrive in Serie A and for a team that are as well-drilled and energetic as the Partenopei.
Indeed, Napoli reaching an agreement for Nunez with Liverpool would be a win-win for all parties, and the former Benfica man could find a new home in Naples with the potential Serie A champions where his career could finally blossom.
