Arne Slot admits that Manchester City's struggles this season "helped" Liverpool win the Premier League.
Liverpool's victory means they have ended City's dominant run of four consecutive title wins.
City currently sit fourth in the league, 21 points behind Liverpool, having suffered a poor run of form after suffering their first defeat of the season to Bournemouth in November.
That result sparked a run of just one win in nine games that saw City drop from top of the league to seventh by December.
And Slot has acknowledged that City's form played a part in Liverpool's triumph.
"For almost the whole season we were on top of the league, and we had the team that was able to win it, but also you know how tough the Premier League is," he said.

"You cannot take anything for granted but the belief for us to win it was almost throughout the whole season.
"Before I start, on behalf of myself and all the club, we want to congratulate Liverpool or their Premier League victory," he said at his post-match press conference.
"It's well deserved, no doubts about that.
So congratulations to Liverpool."

City beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 at Wembley to reach the FA Cup final, but when asked if lifting the trophy and qualifying for next season's Champions League would help make up for his side's failure to defend their title Guardiola replied: "Nooo!
"This season has not been good.
We are a thousand million points behind Liverpool.
