Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has not shied away from using young academy players this season.
Granted, his hand has been somewhat forced by the multiple injuries suffered by key squad members, but few clubs in world football could compete in so many competitions while relying heavily on youngsters.
In all competitions, 16 players who are currently no older than 21 years of age have made at least one appearance for the Reds this term.
The only player to have been in all 55 match day squads is Harvey Elliott, while Ryan Gravenberch has made 35 appearances, with Jarell Quansah (30) and Conor Bradley (22) not far behind.
While all players will be wondering how life at Liverpool will change once Klopp departs, the younger members of the squad will naturally be nervous regarding whether they will fit into the next manager’s plans.
He and Klopp appear to have a similar outlook.

During Feyenoord's title-winning season last year, the club gave 12,334 minutes to academy talent.
Speaking to The Athletic last year, Slot said: “Youth players in your first team give energy.
I don’t believe that much in experience; I believe more in game intelligence, and young players can have much more than an older player."
A look at the playing time data on FBRef proves the point.
