Arne Slot has hinted that an agreement with Liverpool to become the club’s new head coach has not yet been reached.
The Feyenoord boss though still expects a deal to be done.
The 45-year-old looks set to succeed Jürgen Klopp, with the German preparing for his final three games in charge, starting against Tottenham on Sunday.
Slot though has suggested that the official confirmation may not arrive until the end of the season.
Slot has made no secret of his desire to become the next Liverpool boss.
It seems though that Klopp’s expected successor is still waiting for the deal to get over the line.

Speaking at his press conference ahead of Feyenoord’s clash with PEC Zwolle on Sunday, Slot said (via 1908.nl): “Nothing has been officially confirmed yet.
“I'm sitting here with the Feyenoord emblem on my chest, so in principle the intention is that it will be about Feyenoord.
“I have been to England many times in my life, but not in recent days,” Slot said.
“I will answer all questions after the season, but now I am there to get as many points as possible with Feyenoord.”
Liverpool.com says: Slot certainly seems confident that a deal will be done with Liverpool.
