Liverpool have made a fast start to the transfer window as they look set to steal a march on their Premier League rivals.
The Reds have historically tended to prefer making early signings and that tradition looks set to continue in 2025.
Jeremie Frimpong could sign on Monday after the Bayer Leverkusen right-back underwent a medical with Liverpool.
Frimpong looks likely to provide competition for Conor Bradley on the right side of the Reds’ defence.
And a change at left-back has also long been predicted to arrive this summer, with Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez seen by many as the ideal candidate.
Liverpool’s interest in Kerkez was solidified on Monday, with journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that an approach from Anfield had finally arrived on the desks at Bournemouth.
Given what Arne Slot has previously said about the Hungarian, that should not come as a surprise.

With Frimpong set to arrive in the coming days, it had already been expected that Liverpool would target a left-back next.
Kerkez has not been the only name mentioned in connection with a move.
Plenty of rumours have followed the likes of Rayan Ait Nouri and Antonee Robinson as well.

But as Romano posted on Monday morning, Liverpool have decided that Kerkez is the one they really want.
“Understand Liverpool have contacted Bournemouth for Milos Kerkez deal with talks now advancing!” said the journalist.

“Liverpool are also completing the agreement on personal terms with Kerkez, keen on the move.
“Negotiations underway between clubs on transfer fee.”
Reports have previously suggested that the transfer fee for Kerkez could be around £50m.
It will be interesting to see if Richard Hughes is able to haggle his old club down from that.
In the meantime, it has been clear for some time that Slot has been a fan of Kerkez.
The Liverpool head coach highlighted the 21-year-old after his team beat Bournemouth in February.
“I think it’s clear that they have many good things in this team but their left full-back is definitely a threat going forward and Mo Salah is an incredible player but his main strength is not following the opposition full-back!” smiled Slot.
Pushed on whether he may be looking to try and sign Kerkez in the summer window, the Dutch coach was not giving anything away.
“I don’t think I have to talk about players that we are interested in let alone a player who’s playing here and having a great season, like many others here,” he replied.
