Arne Slot has all but confirmed his move to Liverpool - emphasising that it is only a matter of time before his exit from Feyenoord will be made official.
The Reds reached an agreement with the Dutch club to appoint the 45-year-old at the end of the current season, replacing Jurgen Klopp at the helm after nine years in charge on Merseyside.
Slot, like Klopp, took charge of his penultimate home game in charge of the club on Sunday and secured a comprehensive 5-0 victory over PEC Zwolle.
Admitting he will likely be watching many more games of the Reds in the near future, as well as seeking advice from Klopp, he remarked: "If the official confirmation is there and I’m 100% sure that I will go there, I don’t think I’ll only watch that game, I will watch a lot of games from them."
“I think it’s normal that if you go to a new club, and if that would be Liverpool, it is normal that you contact the former coach.
It’s more than normal that, all the knowledge a person has that worked a few years at that club – and in his situation, even nine years – that you contact him.
