Arne Slot is unlikely to change Liverpool’s system despite the arrival of Alexander Isak, sources have told Football Insider.
Isak’s move from Newcastle United to Anfield broke the British transfer record, after the two clubs agreed on a £125million deal.
The Sweden international has added to the Reds’ attacking ranks, which already boast the likes of Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, and Mohammed Salah.
However, sources say that despite an abundance of forward talent, Slot will stick with the same 4-3-3 system that he has utilised since his arrival on Merseyside.

In normal circumstances, a £125m player would immediately become the first-choice striker, simply due to the size of his price tag.
However, Liverpool already have Ekitike up-front, who in turn cost the club £79m to lure away from Bundesliga side Frankfurt.
The French forward has taken to life in the Premier League extremely well, scoring two goals and picking up one assist in his first three games of the season.

Despite his impressive start, Ekitike will likely still be forced out onto the left wing in order to allow Isak to play through the middle, with Slot unwilling to switch to a two-striker system.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are set to reignite their interest in Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi in January, sources have told Football Insider.
Guehi’s move to Anfield was blocked by Palace even after the transfer deal sheet was submitted, with the South London club unable to find a replacement for their captain.
However, sources say that it is expected that Liverpool will go back in for the 25-year-old at the start of next year, when the transfer window reopens.
With his contract at Selhurst Park expiring next summer, Guehi would be available for a reduced price in the new year, which could tempt Liverpool into making another approach.
