Arne Slot wants to feel the earth move at Anfield again and again.

Liverpool ’s boss was stunned by the reaction to his team’s Premier League triumph last weekend, as the Reds clinched the title with a five-goal avalanche against Tottenham that was greeted with so much passion it caused a number of small earthquakes.

According to scientists at the local university, there was a seismic shift measuring 1.74 on the Richter scale when Alexis Mac Allister’s equaliser prompted the first scenes of hysteria.

There were more earth tremors to greet each of Liverpool’s further four goals - and Slot has admitted that he has been shocked by the magnitude of the city’s celebrations.

We’ve won the league twice in five years now, but because the fans weren't there in 2020, it was 35 years ago since they last saw it.

“I think you could feel that 35 years.

You could feel it and see it in everybody's eyes.” Slot is still energised by the scenes he witnessed last Sunday - but it didn’t take long for the Dutchman to get back down to business.

And his warning to the rest of the Premier League is that Liverpool will continue to improve after his first season at Anfield ended with the most glittering prize.

Slot said: “This feeling of happiness is still inside me - and I think everyone here is the same.

“But life does go on.

I have it, the players have it, (club owners) FSG have it - and we also feel we have the quality because otherwise you can't win it two times in five years.

“If I felt there was no way for us to improve then we would have had a problem because I know 100%,for sure that Man City and Arsenal will improve.

“That improvement will come through money, probably bringing new players in, because that's what they did for so many years in rows.
