Liverpool manager Arne Slot has named two managers who he thinks are the greatest in the Premier League history.

The new Reds manager has made a brilliant start to life at Anfield, winning his first three games at the club, including a 3-0 win over fierce rivals Manchester United.

Not only has he led Liverpool to three-straight wins to become the first Reds manager to do so since Bob Paisley, he has also done the job without conceding a goal, a feat last achieved by former Manchester City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson.

Although it is still early days, Slot has already endeared himself to Liverpool fans, especially after becoming the first manager to win his first at Old Trafford in nearly 100 years.

Not like Slot,  needed to prove anything to be accepted by Liverpool fans, though.

Even before he arrived, the fans were already on board the Slot train, with Jurgen Klopp’s passionate rendition of the Dutchman’s song to the tune of the 1984 hit “Live is Life,” paving a way for his reception even before he was announced as Liverpool manager.

Slot’s brand of football has also helped as he attempts to build on Liverpool’s third place finish of last season.

When asked by Sky Sports who he thinks is the best Premier League manager in history, the Liverpool manager, whose players are away on international duties, was quick to mention his predecessor Klopp as well as another Liverpool great.

“First ones that come to my mind is Kenny Dalglish and of course Jurgen Klopp,” he said.

Dalglish enjoyed a successful career as a Liverpool player, winning six league titles and three European Cup titles as a player?

As a manager, the Scottish icon did not win the Premier League manager with Liverpool, but won it in the 1994–95 season with Blackburn, after guiding them to the top flight of English football for the first time since 1966.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp was the first Liverpool manager to win the Premier League title, when his team won the title in 2020.
