Arne Slot has broken his silence on Mohamed Salah’s consideration for the Ballon d’Or after his electric form for Liverpool this season.
Ahead of our final Premier League game, the Liverpool manager told reporters during a pre-match briefing at the AXA training centre (as per Liverpool FC) that he believes this is Salah’s best season in recent years and has a solid chance of winning the Ballon d’Or title.
And if you add to that we also won the league, that would probably give him a fair chance.
But if there’s ever a chance for him, it would be this season.
That’s what I already know with him”.
The Egyptian forward has once again proven to be one of Europe’s deadliest attackers, and with Liverpool’s PL title in the mix, the buzz around his potential nomination is heating up.

Salah has spoken out about his desire to win the Ballon d’Or, telling Sky Sports,
“I would say I never had a season like this and winning big trophies, so I would say this is my best chance to get it right now while I’m at the club because it’s been a crazy year, a crazy season with a trophy, it’s given me a good chance.”
With the kind of numbers he has delivered this season, it’s no surprise he’s starting to feature in conversations about the award.
He has already broken multiple records this season and continues to lead from the front despite injuries in the squad.
His leadership in key games, particularly in Europe, makes him stand out.
The Egyptian forward has racked up 33 goals and 23 assists in 51 games, helping the Reds to the Premier League title.
With the Premier League Golden Boot in sight and Paris calling in September for the Ballon d’Or ceremony, Salah’s dream looks more real than ever.
Although the Ballon d’Or typically favours flashy performances or Champions League success, Salah’s consistency, impact and mentality this season build a strong case.
The question isn’t just whether Salah deserves to be on the shortlist, but whether he should finally get his hands on the Golden Ball.
