Liverpool will return to action with the first game of the 2025-26 season in the form of the FA Community Shield Final against Crystal Palace.
After enjoying a decent pre-season, winning almost every match except for the 2-4 loss against AC Milan, the Merseysiders make their way into the 2025-26 season.
Despite that, the Reds have looked sharp with their approach towards direct football and quick counter-attacks.
Now, the defending Premier League champions will be looking forward to securing the first silverware of the new season.

LFC will lock horns with Crystal Palace this Sunday in the FA Community Shield clash.
However, prior to that, head coach Arne Slot has provided crucial information about the injuries of Alexis Mac Aliister and Joe Gomez:
“He will be in the squad [on Sunday].
He was out for two months I think, or longer because we didn’t play him in the last four games of the season.
He trained with us since a week now, played 30 minutes, 45 minutes.
“So that’s not a situation where you would start a player [and] play him for 90 minutes.
Starting is possible but definitely not for 90 minutes.”
And speaking about the current situation of Joe Gomez, the Dutch tactician said, “Unfortunately he has a minor injury at the moment but he will be back with the team very soon.”
The Argentine midfielder was an indispensable part of the Reds’ title charge last season.
Mac Allister played 49 games across all competitions, bagging seven goals and assisting six.
Gomez, on the other hand, was a viable backup option whenever needed and featured in 17 matches across all competitions.
Both updates provide major relief to the Anfield faithful ahead of the commencement of the new season.
