If Liverpool choose to intensify their efforts to secure Arne Slot from Feyenoord, they could face a bill of £8.59 million for the transaction, according to the Daily Mail.

The daily newspaper claims that “Feyenoord are said to be happy to sanction a departure but would need €10million to do so.”

The 45-year-old has emerged as the frontrunner for the imminent vacancy at Anfield, expected to arise upon Jurgen Klopp’s departure in the summer.

The German’s impending departure was announced in late January, marking the conclusion of his nearly nine-year tenure at Liverpool.

With just five matches remaining on Merseyside, including tomorrow’s fixture against Everton at Goodison Park, the club is moving swiftly to identify his successor.

Slot’s recent accomplishments include securing the Dutch Cup with a 1-0 victory in the final over NEC Breda.

Additionally, he guided Feyenoord to a league title in the 2022-23 season, marking only their second championship triumph since the turn of the century.

The Daily Mail further stated that “the Dutch club are growing increasingly frustrated at Slot’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, constantly offering him to other clubs?
