Arne Slot has responded after being offered some transfer advice by Everton's former director of football Marcel Brands.
Slot is set to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager and the Reds have already been linked with some of his Feyenoord players, including defender Lutsharel Geertruida and midfielder Mats Wieffer.
However, Brands has warned Slot not to "focus blindly on attracting five Dutch players" and instead focus on bringing in "top players" who suit his style of play.
In an appearance on Dutch television, Brands said: "Don't focus blindly on attracting five Dutch players.
"Slot will be working at one of the biggest clubs in England.
Just like Manchester United, they really are the biggest clubs in England, but it is a fantastic challenge."
And Slot has since responded to Brands' comments, with the Dutchman quoted as saying by Voetbal Zone : "That's good advice from people who have worked in the Premier League and have made their mark in football.
