Arne Slot believes Liverpool's new signings have now been given an insight of what to expect playing for the Premier League champions.
The Reds finished their preparations for the defence of the title with Community Shield defeat against FA Cup winners Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon at Wembley.
Despite twice going ahead through summer arrivals Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong, Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw at the end of full time before losing 3-2 on penalties in the subsequent shoot-out.
Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, who moved to Anfield in the close season, both also started against Palace, who were the better team in the second half as Liverpool fell away following a strong opening period.

Of the fresh faces, only Kerkez has previously played in the Premier League.
And Slot is convinced the difficult Wembley experience should act as a learning curve for the new squad intake ahead of the top-flight campaign beginning at home to Bournemouth on Friday evening.
"I think it's a good first impression for the new players, those that haven't played in this league last season," said the Reds boss.
"This (Palace) was the number 12 team of last season, a very good team especially towards the end (of the season) so that maybe they are better than the 12th position they ended up in.
"If this is the number 12 team who can make it such a hard time for you then you know what you have to expect if you are going to play here (in England).
"This is what they know now and the ones that played here for a longer time also know that if you've won the league, if you wear a Liverpool shirt then everybody wants to win desperately against you.
