Arne Slot, the current favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager, has been warned of a mass exodus at Anfield when the summer comes.
Klopp, who has transformed Liverpool into one of England's top teams since his appointment in 2015, announced in January that he will be leaving at the end of the campaign.
Slot, who led Feyenoord to the Eredivisie title last season and the KNVB Cup this year, is being eyed by Liverpool chiefs as a potential successor.
However, former Liverpool player Ryan Babel has now cautioned Slot about the challenges ahead with some inside information.
"Apart from Klopp, I understand that at least forty more people within the club are leaving.
A trainer who comes has to replace that, and that doesn't seem easy to me," Babel told VoetbalPrimeur.
Babel later clarified that those set to leave were brought to Anfield by Klopp, serving as a clear warning to Slot about the task he could face if he takes over at Anfield.
Babel took to X [formerly Twitter], adding: "Any manager having the desire to take the #LFC job has to know that it has to bring more than just a coaching staff to the club.
Reds icon Jamie Carragher has also cautioned that transitioning from Feyenoord to Anfield will be a 'huge jump' for Slot.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "What I would say from Feyenoord to Liverpool is a huge jump and I think it shows in this moment a lack of real top managers out there when you look at who Liverpool were going for.
I don't think it's like Rafa Benitez coming on or Jurgen Klopp coming in.
Liverpool were in a different space then, and that was a Liverpool team under Rafa Benitez that I was part of that was trying to qualify for the top four.
"The same with Jurgen Klopp when he came in.
