Liverpool's young midfielder, Luca Stephenson, is poised to secure a loan spell at Scottish team Dundee United for another season.
The Reds are nearing an agreement with the Scottish Premiership team for Stephenson, who will pen a new long-term contract at Liverpool before heading back to Tannadice.
Last season saw Stephenson on loan at Dundee United, where he clocked up 34 appearances, netted three goals and provided two assists.
His stellar performances earned him the title of Young Player of the Season for the Tangerines, making him a sought-after loan target for several clubs this summer, reports the Liverpool ECHO.

Championship side Swansea City and League One teams Cardiff City, Reading and Rotherham United all expressed interest, while Aberdeen, another Scottish Premiership club, contemplated a permanent deal.
Stephenson was a regular feature during Liverpool's pre-season and impressed the senior coaching staff during the tour to the Far East, both in training and matches, particularly when stepping in as right-back.
Academy coach Jay Spearing was particularly impressed with the youngster, saying: "Luca did exceptionally well last year with the first team.
He was tenacious, he got on the ball, he'd give it, did things simple.

He joined the Reds from Sunderland at under-15 level and steadily climbed through the ranks, including a season-long loan at League Two outfit Barrow in 2023/24.
Liverpool has already confirmed several temporary departures this summer, with Vitezslav Jaros heading to Ajax, fellow goalkeeper Harvey Davies joining League Two side Crawley Town, left-back Owen Beck moving to Championship team Derby County, and Isaac Mabaya off to Wigan Athletic in League One.
