Liverpool are continuing to be linked with several potential new signings ahead of the summer transfer window opening.

The Reds do not have long to wait before the window opens, with a host of players being tipped to move to Anfield in the weeks and months ahead.

Reports have emerged claiming that Liverpool have an interest in signing RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba.

According to TEAMtalk, the Reds are continuing to monitor Lukeba's progress at Leipzig but are yet to open talks with the Bundesliga club or the player's representatives over a potential transfer.

Instead, the report claims that Liverpool are keeping tabs on how Lukeba is getting on at Leipzig, with no decision made on whether or not the club will pursue a deal to sign the centre-back.

Slot is said to be an admirer of the player, who is under contract until 2029.

Liverpool will seemingly face extra competition if they wish to sign Atletico Madrid star Julian Alvarez.

Spanish news outlet Marca report that Liverpool have "sounded out" the former Manchester City star for a potential transfer this summer.

It has been claimed, though, that Arsenal are now the more likely destination for Alvarez if he was to leave Atletico during the upcoming transfer window.

The report goes on to say that Atletico have no plans to consider letting Alvarez leave the club, although Barcelona have been tipped to be a potential destination for the player in the future.
