Arne Slot has updated fans on when they can expect Alexander Isak to play.
Isak joined the Reds on deadline day after securing a British record transfer fee of £125 million from Newcastle United after a tumultuous summer saga.

The Swedish star had tried to make a move earlier in the window but was embroiled in a backroom tussle, which saw him not play for Newcastle in pre-season or at the beginning of the Premier League season.
Now that the club have strengthened their attack with the Swede, fans can expect even more goals from a side that has set the standard for the league this season.

After securing the signature of Hugo Ekitike and keeping key forwards like Mohamed Salah and Cody Gakpo, Liverpool have scored the most goals in the Prem this season.
With the introduction of the new No.
9, there is a heavy weight of expectation that he will deliver goals weekly and join some of the best in the club’s history.
Manager Slot is also expecting quality from a player who has shown his deadly finishing ability against his side very recently.
But it may be a while before fans can expect to see him start a full game for their team, due to the issues in pre-season.

During the press conference, the Dutchman offered up a thank you to the Swedish coach for keeping Isak’s involvement during the international fixtures to a minimum and told fans to wait for a full showing of their record signing.
He said: “Don’t expect him to be every single game 90 minutes on the pitch.
So do not expect him to play every game in the upcoming weeks.
“He missed pre-season, he missed 3-4 months of team sessions, and now we have to build him up gradually.”
This lines up with reports from the Magpies, whose own coaching staff had a ‘major concern’ about Isak before selling him, with their fitness plan expecting the star to be at full fitness after the second international break.
Slot will also need time to get to know his newest recruit following his move to the club.
Due to the first international break coming so soon after the closing of the transfer window, it has not given the coach any time to speak with his new player.
“I haven’t spoken to him that much.
99 times I leave my players during the international break.
I maybe text him once or twice to know how he was getting on.
I need to get to know him better,” he said.
It will be very interesting to see how the player becomes involved in the side, especially with competition from the squad’s newest French attacker, Ekitike.
But fans are expecting something special once he laces up the boots for his debut, which may be a cameo more than a full showing.
