Liverpool head coach Arne Slot and his family, joined by owners Fenway Sports Group's CEO of football Michael Edwards, have provided another tribute to Diogo Jota at Anfield.

The 28-year-old and his brother, Andre Silva, both died in a road traffic accident in Spain last Thursday (July 3).

Slot and Edwards were amongst a large cohort of players and club staff members who travelled to Gondomar, Portugal, on Saturday (July 5), where Jota and Silva were laid to rest.

On Tuesday evening, Liverpool published photographs that showed Slot, his wife Miryam and Edwards attending the floral memorial outside Anfield.

They joined supporters who had placed flowers in remembrance over recent days.

One image published on the club's official website showed the note left by Slot and his family for Jota.

It read: "Diogo, we had the same dream and we fulfilled it together.

Arne, Miryam, Isa and Joep."

Slot was Jota's head coach for only one season, though together they won Liverpool's joint-record 20th English league title.

Another image displayed the floral tribute Edwards laid, which spelt out 'Jota 20'.

Our thoughts are with his family and everyone who held him dear.

"Rest in Peace, Diogo, from Michael Edwards and family."

In September 2020 when Jota first signed for Liverpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Edwards had been Liverpool's sporting director and facilitated the move.

Liverpool defender Andy Robertson, a close friend of Jota's, also visited Anfield on Tuesday and laid a floral tribute to his teammate.

His message read: "MacJota, our hearts are broken but feeling very grateful for the memories you gave us all!

"I will miss you.

Robbo x."

The new tributes come one day after the club aired an hour-long tribute show to honour Jota on LFCTV.
