Arne Slot reunited with his wife Mirjam and his two children as a Premier League champion.
Slot's start to life in the Premier League has been near-faultless, winning the title with four matches still to play.
However, he may not have been able to do so were it not for the stoicism and sacrifice his dearly-beloved other half made.
While Slot was used to spending Christmas and New Year with his family as a result of the Eredivisie going into a winter break, the Dutchman had to instead prepare Liverpool for matches against Tottenham, Leicester City and West Ham all within a seven day period.
Opening up about the sacrifice, he told Sky Sports: "There are obvious reasons why we (my wife and I) kept the children and my wife in Holland as they are in the last year of their school.
"They have to do their exams so for us it was not the ideal moment to bring them towards England.
But in the ideal world you are the manager of Liverpool and still have your family around you."

At the time, he also added: "It is different.
Now I am here I am not going to go to Dubai as I am going to manage a few Premier League games."
Liverpool have been close to impeccable this year, scoring 25 victories in the Premier League - six more than second-best Manchester City (19 wins) - and have only lost twice.

It's currently unclear as to whether there will be any future plans for Mirjam and the rest of the family to move to the UK.
Me, like you, everyone, works really hard but we're not always home.
"Of course for me, my family was still in Holland, so in moments it was hard for me but definitely for them as well.
