Arsenal winger Noni Madueke is reportedly set to miss the next two months following the knee injury he suffered against Manchester City on Sunday.

The ex-Chelsea star was replaced at half-time and there were initial fears he had suffered a long-term issue, but The Athletic claims scans on Monday showed Madueke had avoided an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.

That he is set to be out for just a few months may actually come as a relief to Arsenal supporters, especially given the squad's injury-plagued start to the season.

The Gunners are currently without Kai Havertz, who underwent knee surgery last month.

Captain Martin Odegaard has struggled with a shoulder injury, while Ben White hasn't played since the opening weekend of the season due to an ongoing knock.

Madueke has played such a prominent role this season due to another Arsenal injury, and Bukayo Saka only returned to the side on Sunday following a hamstring injury that kept him out for around a month.
