Nottingham Forest have endured a frantic end to the summer transfer window but look set to get one last deal across the line.
The Tricky Trees have wanted to bring in a defender before the window slammed shut at 7 p.m.
Nottingham Forest were close to signing Javi Galan Atletico Madrid before the deal collapsed.
As a result, Nuno Espirito Santo was forced back to the drawing board but managed to identify a suitable target just in time.

Losing his place in the Arsenal squad to Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori, Oleksandr Zinchenko has been forced to leave the Emirates in search of regular playing time.
Luckily for the Ukraine international, Nottingham Forest have been in the market for a full-back, and, according to David Ornstein, have agreed a deal with Arsenal which will see the defender move to the City Ground for the remainder of the season.

Unsurprisingly, because of how late in the day the agreement was reached, Forest were forced to submit a dealsheet to the Premier League, which allowed an additional two hours for the transfer to be finalised.
Zinchenko’s switch is a straight loan, so the terms do not include a buy option of any sorts.
Although Forest aren’t blessed with left-sided full-back options, Nico Williams will almost certainly have to fight Zinchenko for his place.
The soon-to-arrive Arsenal loanee is a natural at left-back and has a wealth of experience, both domestically and internationally.
He is also incredibly versatile and can do a job in midfield if required.
Set to join the Tricky Trees in time for their next Premier League match, which just so happens to be away to Arsenal on the 13th of September, it remains to be seen if Zinchenko will be eligible to feature against his parent club.
