Mikel Arteta has given Arsenal supporters an update on the fitness of Noni Madueke after he was forced off against Man City.
Gabriel Martinelli’s late equaliser salvaged a point after Erling Haaland’s strike inside the opening 10 minutes.
Saka had just returned from a hamstring injury, and Madueke had dazzled for Arsenal and England during the 24-year-old’s absence.

As per Fabrizio Romano on X, [23 September], Madueke’s injury is not as bad as first feared.
Reports suggested Madueke could miss months on the sidelines, but Arteta has said the winger “will only be out for a few weeks.”
“It looks like we will have to scan him again next week,” Arteta added.

Saka’s return is therefore a timely one for Arsenal and further highlights the squad depth Arteta has at his disposal this season.
Madueke will miss Carabao Cup, Premier League and Champions League action whilst on the sidelines.
Saka though will now get the opportunity to reclaim his place down the right flank for club and country.
