Arsenal could make a move for Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze if they can get a sale across the line for a fringe player.
The Gunners have been targeting Eze this summer, but are yet to sign the midfielder due to the fee demanded by Palace and the structure of the deal.
Mikel Arteta too has already spent big this summer only six new arrivals including the purchase of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres.
Arsenal want to end their Premier League trophy drought next season after coming second in the past three campaigns.
Vieira looks set to leave Arsenal.
Vieira was sent on loan to Porto last season and is not part of Arteta’s future plans at the club, but Arsenal do want to fetch a “respectable price” for a player they paid £35million on.

The 25-year-old joined the club from Porto in 2022, but with captain Martin Odegaard occupying the number 10 position, opportunities were rare for the Portuguese international.
Any money recouped from the sale could lead to Arsenal drumming up the funds to sign Eze, with the 27-year-old having a £68m release clause in his contract.

Selling Vieira would help Arteta sign one more forward this summer to further strengthen Arsenal’s attack.
The Gunners have lacked squad depth in forward areas and the arrival of Eze would prove a hit with supporters following his successful five years at Palace, and the creativity he would bring to the side.
Arsenal have been heavily dependent on Odegaard and Saka down the right flank to create chances, but Arteta will hope his transfer business will be able to help Gyokeres hit the ground running in North London.
