A number of players have been released, including Thomas Partey who has since been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

Jorginho left for Flamengo with his deal coming to an end, while Kieran Tierney joined Celtic on a free transfer.

Nuno Tavares also helped boost the coffers, with the forgotten man joining Lazio permanetly after his loan, and there were further permanent exits for Marquinhos and Albert Sambi Lokonga.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has had his contract terminated and left the club by mutual consent.
