Aston Villa supporters have been left wondering if Unai Emery will re-sign Jaden Philogene after his outstanding showing for Ipswich Town.
The 23-year-old scored the first hat-trick of his senior career as Ipswich thrashed Sheffield United 5-0 on Friday, 12 September.
Even before their defeat in Suffolk on 12 September, Sheffield United boss Ruben Selles was under pressure.
Meanwhile, Ipswich’s star of the show, Philogene, featured in Aston Villa’s famous Champions League win over Bayern Munich before joining the Tractor Boys in January.
The winger made 15 appearances for the West Midlands side last term before joining McKenna’s men in January.
While Philogene is now starring in the Championship, Emery enjoyed a strong end to the summer transfer window, as Aston Villa signed Jadon Sancho and Harvey Elliott from Manchester United and Liverpool, respectively.
