Liverpool fell to a 3-2 defeat away to Brighton & Hove Albion, with the post-title blues once again striking for the Reds.
Despite leading the game twice, the Seagulls pulled off an impressive comeback against the Premier League champions to secure all three points, with Liverpool yet to win a game since clinching the title in late April.
One bright spot for the match was Harvey Elliott’s performance, with the midfielder’s early first-half goal ensuring that Liverpool scored in every Premier League away game this season, a feat the Reds have never managed in the top flight.
Yet speaking post-match, Elliott dropped an intriguing comment about his potential future at Liverpool amid transfer rumours leading into the summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the England youth international admitted that ‘whatever happens, happens’ this summer amid reports that Wolves are interested in signing Elliott as a potential replacement for Manchester United-bound Matheus Cunha.
With Liverpool valuing Elliott at £45m, the midfielder could bring in a good fee for the Reds, and the youngster seems to admit that he could leave, with the former Fulham man saying: “You try not to get too carried away with the celebrations, we’ve worked really hard through the season.
“Some lads like myself haven’t played as much through the season, and it’s about going out and enjoying it.
We need to take the positives and take it into the final game next week. I think I’ve done it this season.

“It’s been hard with how much I’ve played.
I’ve tried as hard as I could, and whatever happens, happens.
I’m here at the moment and I’m focusing on the final game.”
Elliott has been a good servant for Liverpool since joining from Fulham as a teenager before establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League under Jurgen Klopp and now Arne Slot.
However, as Elliott himself alluded to, minutes have been hard to come by this season at Liverpool, and with Wolves looking at the England youth international, there’s a real chance that the Reds can cash in on the 22-year-old to help towards new signings.
Indeed, Elliott could win favour with Slot in pre-season if the youngster impresses, but with the midfielder yet to really have a chance in the first-team midfield, a departure could benefit all parties in the summer if a big offer comes in.
