There is just over a week left until the transfer window slams shut, yet the Alexander Isak saga is yet to be resolved.
The Reds have been pursuing Isak ever since they thought there was a glimmer of hope, but since then, it has all got very messy.
The Swede has since been dropped from Newcastle’s pre-season tour, refused to train, and also released a statement to express his desire to leave this summer.
His latest action as he continues to push for a move away has left many in the footballing world shocked, with this tending to be the last resort for players before a decision is finally made.
However, ex-Blackburn striker Chris Sutton has admitted there is still one thing he does not understand about the saga and that Isak needs to name those who he feels are accountable.

Isak released his statement during the PFA awards on Tuesday evening, with this bombshell certainly rustling a few feathers.
And, with this, Sutton believes that if he really wants to force a move he needs to name those who reportedly broke their promise, with this something that could improve his chances of moving to Anfield.

“The one thing which in all of this which I still don’t understand, he said he was made promises by the club, why does he not name names then in that situation?
I don’t get that,” Sutton said on Match of the Day.

“People talk about ‘well, it has to be contractual’ but if he felt that strongly about getting out, which he clearly does do, why does he not name names?
“So at this point in time, I don’t quite believe he was made the promise because if he’s that desperate then, you know.”
Throughout this whole saga, Newcastle have remained firm on their stance that they will not sell Isak until they have signed at least two replacements for him.
This has proven more difficult than they would have first imagined, with Yoane Wissa a deal they thought they could get over the line quickly and efficiently.
However, Brentford are holding out for a higher fee, while Newcastle are also keeping tabs on Alexander Sorloth and Wolves’ Jorgen Strand Larsen.
Liverpool fans will be hoping a deal for at least one of these goes through or else their chances of Isak joining are very slim, and with time running out, things have to move quickly.
