Liverpool has confirmed the signing of Jeremie Frimpong, with the right-back becoming the Reds' first new signing ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
A deal for Frimpong has been heavily touted over the past week, with Liverpool moving quickly after securing the Premier League title.
As Liverpool.com reported earlier this year, the Reds have had a long-standing interest in the Netherlands international, who missed out on the chance to move to Anfield as a youngster before joining Manchester City.
He'll be coming up against his former club next season though, having signed a five-year deal to join the Reds after undergoing his medical.
Frimpong is set to officially become a Liverpool player when the transfer window opens on June 1, with Liverpool paying $40m (£29.5m) for his services.

The 24-year-old is the second new player confirmed to be arriving at Anfield this summer, with goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili set to complete his move from Valencia after a deal was agreed last year.
