Keir Starmer, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has described the horrifying scenes that unfolded during Liverpool's Premier League title-winning parade as "appalling".
Sunday saw Arne Slot's Reds parade the Premier League trophy through the streets of Liverpool amidst a red haze from the pyrotechnics on Merseyside, with fans jubilant at finally getting to see their team celebrate after having not been able to back in 2020.
However, the parade was overshadowed by an incident that took place after the conclusion of the celebrations, when a vehicle reportedly struck supporters after the team bus had exited the city centre.

Posting on X, the statement from the Prime Minister read: "The scenes in Liverpool are appalling — my thoughts are with all those injured or affected.
I’m being kept updated on developments and ask that we give the police the space they need to investigate."
