Liverpool is set to confirm its fifth signing of the summer with the arrival of goalkeeper Freddie Woodman on a free transfer.
He has recently been linked with Manchester United but is now set to move to Anfield.
He will be Liverpool's fifth arrival of the summer following the acquisitions of Milos Kerkez, Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong and fellow goalkeeper Armin Pesci.
He is set to provide cover for Alisson and Giorgi Mamardashvili as part of Arne Slot's goalkeeping reshuffle.
Liverpool boss Arne Slot has already allowed Vitezslav Jaros to join Ajax, while Harvey Davies has moved to Crawley for the season, while Caoimhin Kelleher has departed on a permanent basis to Brentford.
The 28-year-old started his professional career at Newcastle and was also part of England's successful Under-20 side that won the World Cup in 2017.
He made a handful of appearances for the Magpies including one particularly game against Manchester United in the 2021-22 season where he was at fault for goals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes.
