The Premier League has released a statement following the tragic passing of Liverpool star Diogo Jota in a fatal car crash in Spain.
The 28-year-old, alongside his younger brother Andre Silva, 25, died after the tire on the vehicle, a Lamborghini, blew out during an overtake, forcing it off the road.
Jota's passing comes after another successful season at Anfield, which saw him help the Reds lift the Premier League trophy in May.
He then went on international duty with Portugal and helped his country win the Nations League, before the father of three tied the knot with long-term partner, Rute Cardoso, late last month.
"Everyone at the Premier League is shocked and devastated to learn of the tragic passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre," the Premier League said.
