The Ballon d'Or awards ceremony takes place in Paris on Monday night as Virgil van Dijk looks to become the first Liverpool player to lift football's top individual prize since Michael Owen in 2001.

The Dutchman is one of the favourites for the famous award this year, though leaks suggest he might have missed out to Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, fellow Reds Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Gini Wijnaldum, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are also all up for the award, making the final 30-man shortlist after Liverpool's Champions League triumph last season.

Elsewhere, Alisson is also up for the inaugural Yachine Trophy, created to honour the planet's top goalkeepers.

And with the ceremony getting underway from 7.30pm, follow LIVE updates from the Theatre du Chatelet in Paris here.
