Barcelona president Joan Laporta has ruled out a move for Luis Diaz this summer despite claiming the Liverpool star wanted to move to the Camp Nou.
As reported by the ECHO, at the start of June, the Reds turned down an approach from the La Liga giants for the Colombia international.
It's unclear how much Barca were willing to pay for Diaz but, at the time, the Reds were determined to keep hold of the ex-FC Porto man.
However, it now appears that the 28-year-old is closing in on a move to Bayern Munich.
Diaz played no part in Saturday's 4-2 loss to AC Milan, after talks resumed between Liverpool and Bayern earlier this week, while Barca have since secured the services of Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United.

And opening up on his side's pursuit of Diaz, Laporta claimed his club stepped away from a deal due to a 'complication' with the forward's Liverpool contract.
"It has been a more complicated terrain than the goalkeeper because of the opinions that came from all sides," he told Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

"There were several options and I'm very happy because we ended up getting the option that I liked the most.
"It's true I also liked Luis Diaz, a very complete player but, due to his circumstances, it was complicated although I thank the player wanted to come at all times.
"Nico Williams also happened.
And in view of the fact that Luis was complicated and that we were in the process of negotiating with Rashford, Nico's agent came offering the possibility of signing him.

"Deco told me, in principle I preferred to work on the other two options, but in these cases I always listen to the sporting management.
At the same time, work was done with the other two and Rashford's was clarified."
