Barcelona have reportedly decided they want to secure a loan fee for Philippe Coutinho - and want any suitors for the Brazil international to pay the playmaker's salary in full.

Arsenal and Chelsea both have transfer interest in the former Liverpool star.

Barcelona paid a huge £142million to sign Coutinho from Liverpool in January 2018, installed with the belief he could propel them to Champions League glory.

Coutinho initially took to life in the Bundesliga but, since the departure of Niko Kovac and appointment of Hans-Dieter Flick, the Brazil international's form has waned.

OK Diario claim that the La Liga giants have now decided the terms of any Coutinho exit this summer.

Arsenal may find Coutinho to be too expensive, even if they could afford the loan fee Barcelona want.

Former Bayern Munich star Owen Hargreaves recently had his say on Coutinho's future.
