Barcelona proposes contract to Pau Cubarsí

Less than a year ago, Barcelona agreed a contract with youth team prospect Pau Cubarsí.

It contained a release clause of just $16m (£13m/€15m).

And now it's claimed that Barcelona feels 'forced' into handing him a professional contract.

According to another Spanish outlet, AS, Barcelona is preparing a deal that would increase Cubarsí's release clause to $535m (£423m/€500m).

It's now up to the player to accept.

Liverpool.com says: Cubarsí looks a talent, and at the current release clause, Liverpool may well be one of the big clubs 'knocking on the door'.
