Liverpool cemented their place in the Premier League's top three with an enjoyable romp over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott all found the target as the Reds earned a comfortable 4-2 triumph.

The result means Jurgen Klopp’s side mathematically are still in the title race but are likely to be playing for pride when they next take to the field.

But there was plenty that went unnoticed or under the radar during the 90 minutes at Anfield.

Klopp delight

Liverpool's first-half performance was a timely reminder of why they have been such an important part of the championship battle this season.

And the manner in which the Reds swarmed all over Tottenham certainly earned the approval of Klopp, who was regularly raising his hands to applaud the efforts of his players.

A bit later on, Elliott almost took his manager as he attempted to stop a ball drifting out of play.

Instead, the 21-year-old was given an impromptu hug from his manager before being helped back on to the pitch.

Bajcetic critiqued

Klopp might be winding down his time in charge at Liverpool but that doesn't mean he hasn't still got one eye on the future of the players.

And having seen Stefan Bajcetic understandably struggle during his first Premier League outing in more than a year, the Reds boss made a beeline for the teenager after the final whistle.

Bajectic was then given some forceful advice over his performance and where it could be improved by an animated Klopp.

Once a coach, always a coach.

Where there's a Will

With the Klopp era drawing to a close, even celebrities are determined to make the most of their final time witnessing his side in action.

Will Arnett, the Hollywood actor who also provides the voice of Batman in the Lego movie franchise, is a renowned Liverpool fan and made his latest trip to Anfield to take in the game.

And in the mixed zone after the game, former Chelsea and Real Madrid man Arjen Robben was seen walking through alongside Thiago Alcantara.

Yes, that Thiago Alcantara.

Richarlison dummy

His former Everton connections mean Richarlison has proven something of a pantomime villain for Liverpool supporters ever since moving to Tottenham.

And it seemed the forward was about to return some of the abuse he had received from the home fans as he ran in the direction of the Main Stand pumping his fist having pulled a goal back.

However, the Brazilian was instead running to retrieve a nearby matchball after Trent Alexander-Arnold had booted the one with which he had scored out of his reach.
