Bayer Leverkusen have identified their Florian Wirtz replacement in yet another sign that the German international is Anfield bound.

The Premier League champions have already seen two substantial offers rejected, including a €130 million (£109 million) proposal that fell short of Leverkusen’s €150 million asking price.

The 22-year-old German international has made his preference abundantly clear, with multiple reports confirming that Wirtz only wants to join Liverpool.

The youngster has contributed six goals and nine assists across 35 appearances in all competitions under Cesc Fabregas.
