Liverpool supporters are preparing for a big week in the transfer window as June begins to slowly tick by.
The Reds have already secured one signing this summer, but fans are hungry for more as Arne Slot continues to build an exciting team.
Florian Wirtz is the one they are really waiting for, with the German’s potential arrival really capturing the imagination of the Liverpool faithful.
Liverpool are set to splurge a British record transfer fee on Wirtz, and supporters are desperate to see the move finally get over the line.
In the meantime, the 22-year-old was in Nations League action on Wednesday, as the Reds’ fanbase were given a sneak preview into what they can expect from their record addition.
And just ahead of that game, Wirtz’s current side, Bayer Leverkusen, dropped a teasing post to add a little more hype to expectations.

All eyes were on Wirtz as he faced Portugal on Wednesday, with the big-money nature of his move garnering the attention of worldwide media.
Unfortunately, Wirtz’s performance was slammed by the German press, who were not happy despite the attacking midfielder getting himself a goal.

Nevertheless, the game gave a snapshot of what Liverpool can expect to see from Wirtz at Anfield and added colour to a post from Leverkusen earlier in the day.
“165 dribbles attempted.
82 successful,” the Bundesliga side posted from their official English language account on X.

“The most of any player in the Bundesliga last season.”
As Wirtz and his magic feet prepare to appear for Liverpool on a weekly basis, this teasing, out-of-the-blue assessment is sure to get fans doubly excited.
It has been an agonising 10 days or so for anyone associated with Liverpool as they wait to get the Wirtz deal over the line.
But the truth is that although delays can be disconcerting, a transfer this big was never going to happen overnight.
Wirtz is next in action with Germany on Sunday when they will play either France or Spain in the Nations League third-place play-off.
It remains to be seen what progress Liverpool can make in the meantime, although there have been suggestions that Wirtz could have his medical while away with Germany.
Should that happen, the next time he takes to the field, Bayer Leverkusen’s maestro could in fact be Liverpool’s.
