Elliott has been linked with a Liverpool exit for most of the season after struggling for game time, with his move looking more likely after being seen crying on the pitch at Anfield following their final game of the season.

Jarell Quansah is wanted by Bundesliga clubs, including Leverkusen, and could still be used as part of the deal, with the 22-year-old defender valued by the club at around £25m.
