Bayer Leverkusen is interested in signing Liverpool center-back Jarell Quansah as the German club searches for a replacement for Jonathan Tah.
Tah joined Bayern Munich earlier this month ahead of the expiration of his Leverkusen contract on June 30, and Erik ten Hag is said to be eyeing Quansah as a possible summer addition to Leverkusen's squad.
Loic Bade has also been added to Leverkusen's shortlist, but Liverpool is said to have made contact with Liverpool over Quansah, in an approach which is independent of the talks that are ongoing between the two clubs over Florian Wirtz's future.

Liverpool is closing in on a deal to sign Wirtz, 22, and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Quansah, also 22, could end up heading in the opposite direction.
Quansah is facing an uncertain future at Liverpool after starting just four Premier League games all season, two of which came after the Reds had wrapped the title up.
It is not clear whether Slot wants to keep Quansah as part of his squad
After quickly deciding that he wasn't ready to be a regular alongside Virgil van Dijk at the start of the campaign, Slot praised the youngster in February, saying that he was back to his best level after putting in an important performance as a second-half substitute in a win against Wolves.
“I think everybody has seen recently that he did really well and I see in training sessions that he is back to being the same Jarell that he was in pre-season,” Slot said
“I think he had a bit of a hard time after being taken off at Ipswich [in Liverpool's first game of the season] and the first two or three games after that, when he came in, was also a bit of a struggle
"And he's just showing in the last two or three months, on the training pitch but also when he comes in, that he's back to his old level.”
Liverpool is also facing uncertainty over the futures of Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez: Konate is out of contract in 12 months' time, while Gomez is coming off the back of hamstring surgery.
The Reds were linked with a move for Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen during the second half of the season, but he agreed to join Real Madrid and was presented as a Madrid player on Tuesday.
“I wanted to be here from the first day; once Real Madrid called I didn’t have eyes for any other teams," Huijsen said at his presentation
"For me, Real Madrid is the best club in the world and there is no other club when they appear."
